ILLINOIS WETHER SERIES
The Illinois Wether Series was created by a progressive group of show wether breeders and exhibitors in order to reward and recognize the junior exhibitors of meat goat wethers. In addition, this program will assist in advancing the quality and quantity of show wethers in the state of Illinois. The Illinois Wether Series is open to any junior exhibitor that is between the ages of 5 and 19. There is no membership fee for Illinois exhibitors and all junior exhibitors will accumulate points at sanctioned shows.
2008 was a tremendous success for the Illinois Wether Series, and we have made some changes to the 2009 program that should help make 2009 even better. Thank you to all of the volunteers, exhibitors and sponsors of the Illinois Wether Series.
- The sanctioning fee will be reduced to $75 per show plus $5 per entry. The $75 fee is required in advance to be sanctioned. The $5 entry money can be added on the entry fee by the show and will be sent in with the results.
- The 2009 Illinois Wether Series will be open to out-of-state junior exhibitors. Out-of-state exhibitors will be required to pay an annual membership fee of $30.
